They can seem to take a long time getting back to you.  But then they want the contract back within a week.  They have been very friendly and have kept me up to date on any changes.  I have emailed the people at Deco but haven't heard anything back from them.

Hey Lauren,

I also debated between the complimentary and a collection package.  In the end, I ended up going with the amethyst rose collection because it actually worked out to be cheaper than if I did the complimentary and paid for optional services because I applied my 1500 vacation dollars to my package.  Originally the package would have cost $2375...but after the $1500, it went down to $875!  In regards to choices, I'm pretty sure they have a standard bouquet and cake for each collection, so you may end up paying more if you want something customized.  And lastly, I have seen pics of the amber package set up in a magazine...and the main colors are orange and brown.  The color scheme is very pretty (has a fall feel), but it is quite orange.  I don't think it will go well with your coral theme.

I hope this helps!

Do you remember which magazine had the photos of the Amber collection? That is the package we are probably going to select.

Right now, we are planning on picking a date for the third week of April 2011. I can't wait it will be fabulous!

Hello,

Just to clarify this resort allows children under the age of 18? Because I thought on the resort website that it said 18+ only and that made me reconsider this resort as my wedding desination since we have a few kids in our group.

thanks!

Yes, Moon Palace allows children. It's Isla Mujeres and Aventura Palaces that don't allow children. I believe the fee for kids is $46 per night.

They allow children.  They have a kids area and I think young kids are also cheaper per night.

Yes, they do allow children, They usually also have specials for children depending on when you go ( e.g. in the summer kids under 12 stay free)

Hi everyone,

I have a MP wedding booked for 3pm on May 28, 2011. I just did my group contract and blocked all my rooms.

There are a LOT of weddings planned for that day but due to family availability we had to go with that weekend. I'm working with a travel agent and she (and the contract) said that a WC will contact me 30 days prior to my wedding to set everything up. I'm worried with so many weddings that weekend if I wait I won't get what I want! We want to have a gazebo wedding since it's 3pm in May and know it will be hot! We are going with the complimentary wedding and doing upgrades. Did anyone get more info on the different packages, flowers, cakes, etc other than what's on the website? I'm a planner and waiting until 30 days before is going to drive me nuts!!!!! ANY IDEAS?

I want to know if MP will perform a Catholic ceremony on Good Friday.

I really doubt they perform Catholic ceremonies on Good Friday.  You should be able to find out from your local priest though.  We were planning on having a Catholic wedding on April 16th, 2011 but it's the start of holy week so we can't.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
