How exciting!I've been told 7/23 is a very lucky date.  I know so many people who were married on that day!  I was just contacted by a planner and the email basically just welcomed me, and said that she'd get back to me as the time got closer. She sent me some menu's and prices and answered a few quick questions that I asked, but she specified that she would contact me again when it got closer because she is currently working on other weddings. What are your plans regarding photographer and dj?  How many guests are you expecting?  We're expecting about 70 guests or so.

Yeah it is horrible service.....I really don't understand it!

 

Luckly my uncle, who's membership we are using, is a rock star....he went up the chain of command and finally found someone who would work with us...and man did they go above and beyond for us now!

 

I hope this new contact will continue to be great for us!

Her name is Geraldine and she apparently took over our account. I spoke to her yesterday to resolve some reservation issues and she did take care of them promptly. I actually sent her an email way back in January telling her that I hoped the service would improve because I too had guests that became so frustrated and tired of waiting that they booked through a tour operator. I also had problems prior to my wedding. My travel agent told my I was approved for the wedding benefits. A month before my wedding, my wedding coordinator told me I wasn't. I sent her multiple emails and left a message. I finally resorted to writing a message on their Facebook page and then I got somewhere.  6 days before the wedding Lisa emailed me to say they would honor what I was originally promised. She did blame my travel agent...saying that I was never in fact approved. 

 

Aholen - Kalena was my wedding coordinator.  I didn't hear from her until 3 months prior to my wedding.  When I did finally here from her, she was good about responding. I know how you feel you wanna get everything knocked out and reserved.  Honestly don't worry about a thing. She is a sweet heart!  I didn't reserve anything until 2 months prior and I got everything I wanted.  Your wedding will be great!  FYI when I asked Kalena for a supervisors name about my situation above and she gave me Lisa's info. It took Lisa 3 weeks to respond and that was only because I complained on Facebook.  Goodluck!

And in my wedding color!!!!!!!!!!! Yipeeee!!!!! Needless to say I ordered 4 for all the girls (my treat because they are spending so much and using vacay time just to come). I am so happy! I love the versatility of this dress and I am sure that they will all be able to wear it again and again (even if they gain weight lol). Below are a few pictures of the dress as well as a link to a video demonstration of the dress (the one on the model in the video is the exact one that I bought).

 

The sale ends tomorrow if anyone else is interested (I believe the short dress is only $50 or so). PM me if you would like an invite to join the Ideeli site. They always have great sales on everything. The retail price of these dresses are usually $150 and up.

Liz - we are actually members, but neither FI nor I have the time right now to try to find someone to correct things. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait the three weeks until we get there to remember why we chose MP.

I was at a bridal shower last weekend, and soemone told me she had 3 friends get married at MP last year. She didn't make it to any of the weddings, but she said they all raved about how awesome it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Good luck in your last 40 days!!! Don't worry everything will be great! JUST REMEMBER......THIS IS ABOUT YOU JOINING YOUR LIFE W/ YOUR FI.......AS LONG AS YOU COMPLETE THAT BY THE END OF THE DAY...IT WAS A SUCCESS!
