How long is that iPod set up for?  Why are they charging for the ceremony when there is a system you can use?  I know you can use your comp nights to pay for approved vendors if that helps!

Yup.... same boat. Lucky us... we fly out on Thursday (the day Hurricane Rina is scheduled to hit). Wedding planned for 11.1.11.... We're calling our group to start discussions on what to do. As we only have a small group going, we want it to be a group decision. It's not easy to reschedule everything, days off work... airfare... photographer... Geeze, I forgot about throwing the photog into the mix. We hired a very nice and professional photographer, hopefully he'll work with us if things have to change.

Seriously praying for everyone right now - brides, locals... the whole 9.

Thanks to hurricane Rina the past couple of days have been quite stressful having to change all travel arrangements that will work for the entire group. We were supposed to leave today for our wedding on Saturday. Now we are scheduled to fly in Friday and Saturday for our wedding we rescheduled to Sunday. What a mess, but we are trying to stay positive.

It did count for us. I have DJ and photograpehr booked for only one night each and both those rooms were counted towards our group booking and incentive. Our wedding is still 3 weeks away but I already received 7 complimentary nights and free room upgrade (we have exactly 75 nights booked)

How stressful! Yes keep a postitive additude! I keep telling myself if things don't go as planned I will still be in Mexico, relaxing at the beach with a drink in my hand and married to the man I love. It keeps me going when I start to stress about it all.

Good Luck, you will have a great story to tell later :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
