**** Does anyone know if I can have some decorations shipped right to Moon Palace?

I wanted to order those UFO Lanterns but I am nervous that I won't be able to fly with them.

It would be very easy if I could get them shipped there.

Also,

Does anyone know a good place to get the maracas ?

I see that oriental trading has some that I can paint.  I liked this because they'll be our colors BUT they look way too small.  They are only 5 inches.

Ahhhh....we leave in 4 weeks and I have SOOOO much to do!

I have wondered that too! I'm more interested in if they will LET us have wish lanterns there....either way I think I read somewhere that they DO NOT accept shipments because of the liability. I don't think it would be any more difficult to fly with them than anything else you would be bringing.

NO you can not have items shipped to MP!  I've tried, my TA tried and its a solid NO.

There is a lady on Etsy.com that does maracas (I forget her name) but, you could do a search on etsy.  There is also another website that I ordered samples from but since we decided not to do it, I deleted the information).  There is a maraca forum and I remember posting it there.

I don't know if anyone else is feeling this way but I am starting to stress out.  It is so difficult not having been to Moon Palace before.

I am not sure what to expect.

I don't know if I have enough decor and or money! Lily my WC doesn't seem to give me straight answers.  We have 23 guests.  I decided to upgrade to the reception instead of the cocktail hour.  I still don't know how much it's going to cost me.

I'm really stressing at this point ladies!!!

Less than a month to go!!!

Don't stress! I am sure everything will go perfectly. Just go through the forms again and make a spreadsheet with all the extras that go with upgrading to the reception. Just pack up all your decorations, and make sure you write down everything for Lily. I did the same thing for Kalena and sent it to her so she knew how I wanted everything and I already knew how much things were going to cost me. :o)

I agree with nabreu7, Everything will work out!! I've never been to MP either. what has helped ease my worries is the reviews and comments from all of the past brides and/or the current brides who have done site visits. Definitely add up your items and see where you are as far as cost. If it looks like you would need to cut down, think about what are the most important things that you would want. If you don't think you have enough decor, don't worry about it, work with what you have. Besides, decor or no decor, it'll be beautiful regardless. The resort is gorgeous and that itself will do it some justice.

It must be super stressful when you get down to less than a month! I am sure you will work it all out and everything will be lovely.

So, just a little vent. I get married in about 3 1/2 months. I asked two friends to be bridesmaids and recently just got a text....a TEXT, from one of them saying that she isnt coming!!! She has lied to me for the past 6 months saying that she booked and got her airfare. meanwhile, I bought her dress for her, bought many gifts to put in her welcome bag and lended her money. where that money is, WHO KNOWS! when I asked her why she lied to me she told me to "Fu*k off" and hung up on me. SUPER Classy.

At this point it is too late to ask anyone else to stand in so I am left with just one girl, a dress that I cant return and gifts that I guess i will have to keep. I am hoping that is the only drama I will have LOL.

Life goes on! smile159.gif

I am so sorry! That is awful. She should have been honest from the beginning. Maybe sell everything on Ebay to try and get some of your money back. :o(  My fiance had the same thing happen with one of his groomsman too. We didn't care if he couldn't make it, we were just hurt bc he told my fiance 6 months before the wedding also that he couldn't afford it and his wife's dad asked him to not take his daughter to Mexico. I don't understand why he still couldn't come, so they just took a trip to San Diego but he can't afford to attend our wedding which he knew about for a year. :o(  Oh well, people should just be honest from the start and just say the truth..That they can't come or plainly don't want to. The truth is always better.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
