If you had to choose between Xcaret and Xelha to do with a group which would you recommend.?  I figured FI and I can go to both since we'll be down there for 14 days but our guests will only be there for 5 days for the most part, I am looking for an awesome recommendation to give them.

Thanks

As I'm from the uk we do not have the same inclusive trips but ones we have enjoyed in the past are xcaret, coco bongo, xel ha and akumal beach to swim with turtles. We love them all but everyone is different. Let me know if you have any questions about these.

I've been to Xcaret twice and we loved it- the underground rivers that are a natural lazy river are awesome!

Good question nabreu7!

We just sat down this past weekend and figured out the main songs.  I'm not sure the official names but the songs that are for when everyone is walking in and the processional exit song and first dance.  Are there other songs I need to worry about?

Entrance song:  Siege of the Madrigal - His mom thinks this is too sombre but I don't hear it.  If anyone youtube's this and feel that way, let me know

Processional:  Marry Me - yes, it's a cliche now but I still love it

Exit song:  I have no idea.

First dance:  Billy Joel - Just the Way You Are

Ladies, good luck with the rest of your planning. Due to a serious health issue that has arised, we are moving our wedding back home (to either my hometown or his hometown)...

If there are other Indian brides that have questions, PM me. I'll try to reply... but now I'm down to 4 months till my wedding and need to find a venue and start all over again!!

Good luck, and thanks for all of your help!

Hi Ladies !

getting married Aug 20th Moon Palace ...

wedding coordinator emailed today to make changes to our plans:

We had a dinner reservation at Barracuda ( Steak House on Sunrise Side) and now she says they are unable to accomodate us.

she has reccomended the Caribbean Resturant.  Anyone have any thoughts on this place ?  It has a set menu that we pick main entree...

A little disappointed about the Barracuda , and I am open to other suggestions.

We prefer not to do the buffet only because we dont want our guests waiting in line the majority of the time.

Thank for your help in advance!

seasidebride - El Caribeno is delicious. It was our favorite restaurant. You can meet upstairs on the terrace for drinks beforehand or go up there afterwards. We went to Barracuda our first night and there was a long wait, some of our meals didn't turn out great either. I think you ended up with a much better reservation.

I would suggest a reservation at Arrecifes they have a great terrace location for your private party or if you want (or if the weather isn't great) you can sit inside & the area they set you up in is pretty private.  You do have to go to the buffet line for the salad (but I've never seen a long line there), so your guests would just have to get up one time.  Otherwise all the meats & then desserts are brought to the table.  We had a wonderful experience there, and your guests wouldn't be limited to one entree.  The first time we went to Moon Palace we loved the Caribbean Restaurant, but the last time we went it was our least favorite dinner.  I'm sure you'll have a nice dinner at either place though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
