Does anyone know where the RESORT rooms are nicer...the Sunrise or the Nizuc?

I think my party will be in the Nizuc.

The rooms in the Sunrise and Nizuc sections are practically identical. The only real difference is that Sunrise rooms have a hammock on the balcony, the Nizuc rooms do not. Other than that, they are identical.

The grand rooms are gorgeous and much bigger. My wedding coordinator got me a room over there the day of the wedding to get ready and it was perfect. Word of advice, ask for a room for your groom too. My groom was on Sunrise and I was on the Grand. My photog never made it to my groom's room to take pics b/c he ran out of time b/c he had to make sure to be at Nizuc for the chapel to take pics as everyone arrived.

If you are having your reception outside I don't think a dance floor in necessary...might help you save money.

We also bought ribbon online and made chair ties to take down.  The chairs are in good shape so you prob wouldn't need chair covers.

Same here, we got ready in Nizuc and the groom in Sunrise. Our photographer got all the way over to Sunrise and my DH and the groomsmen had already left so then he had to trek all the way back.  Wasted 20-30 mins of picture time.  I would recommend staying close by if you are getting pictures done beforehand.

I used Ismael Pacheco.  Love my pictures. I got all day coverage with edited CD and TTD (which I didn't use) for only like $785.  I don't know if he is still that cheap.  Let me know if you have any questions about him.

Do you have a link to your photos?  I'd love to see a MP wedding for an example! :) I can PM you my email address if you need!

We are having the reception in a ballroom. I like the idea of the ribbon online, may I ask which site you bought it from?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
