Are you referring to: CRISTINA VANESSA VALDIVIEZO? She's my WC. I heard from her last week... sent her a reply/follow-up this week, but haven't heard back from her yet.

Why? Did you hear something?

Actually Amara, my TA is going down to MP on Monday for a site visit, and she's meeting with Cristina on my behalf on Tuesday morning... so hopefully all goes well!

Yup, that my Cristina too :) I haven't heard her name on here at all I don't think so I was just curious if people had any feedback on how its been with her. Her turn around time isn't the greatest- but she's been very helpful thus far. Really nothing to complain about on my side, other than delays in answering emails

Yeah, much earlier in the thread, several brides said that she was great!! So that's def comforting.

I'm having the same issue with slow emails, but since our wedding is still far away, I know she's not putting too much effort into ours... and I'm trying not to bother her. I'm doing what I can with Zuniga, picking my flowers with Marvin, and then the complimentary bouquet, cake, and menus... I already know what I want, so it's just a matter of telling her sometime in the next several months...

Maybe once my TA meets with her on Tuesday, we'll have a better rapport and she'll reply quicker... doubtful, but I can still hope! Ha!

Hey ladies!!! Been a long while since I've been back! Congrats to the recent new wifeys!

1) SASCHA PHOTOGRAPHY UPDATE: I read the few responses re: my Sascha questions and how to by-pass the no outside vendors thing. Now, I see people are saying either get them a room or do the $300 fee. The day pass thing seems to have disappeared as an option from reading other brides' responses. Any new updates on that? The idea of having to spend all that extra money just boggles my mind.

2) MOON GRAND ROOM NUMBER: Any brides stay in the Moon Grand section and have a view of the ocean? I think there's been only a couple rooms with actual non-golf views, and I think FI and I have decided to stay in the Moon Grand section. Originally, we were going to stay some extra days at a sister resort, but not happening anymore. So while there, future hubs wants to stay in the new section. Thanks, ladies!!!

Does anyone have any information from the MP showing what can be used and included in the vacation dollars?I know they keep changing rules so I was wondering if anyone had anything to show that you could use the dollars to rent golf shoes/clubs etc that way when we're down there we can show that so they can pull one over on our guests?

The golf course website seems to indicate you can use resort credit for greens fees, but you can NOT use it for renting clubs or shoes.

Yep, that's what I've seen too. In our room contract, it also says you can use up to $150 OR up to $300 towards golf... I don't know what that means exactly.

I'm asking my TA to get clarification on that.. because I assume it's something like if you have $750 or less room credit than you can spend up to $150 on golf and if you have $1500 or more you can use up to $300... I'll let you know when I hear.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
