I picked a time to meet in the lobby and he even called my in my hotel room. I asked my brother in law to meet him in the lobby and gave him cash. It all worked out really smoothly and saved me tons of money. I was very hesitant to do this but I'm really glad I did. I liked the flowers from Marvin better than Zuniga's center pieces. (It was all very nice tho).

I talked to Msjesslee about the drop off b/c I was concerned since I have such a big order and she put me at ease. She said they scheduled a time for drop off and she had her brother in law meet Marvin in the lobby. He tells the hotel that he has a gift from back home for the bride and groom and they let him in. Marvin is pretty thorough. When I finally decided on what flowers I wanted he put the pics in a price quote so I knew exactly what I was ordering and how many. Since his drop off will probably be at the time when I am at the salon. I am going to have a friend meet Marvin in the lobby with the cash and I will print the bill he created so my friend can make sure what he delivers looks like what I ordered. Hope this helps.

I used Marvin as well. One thing to note about him and another bride told me this as well, he runs behind.  And true to the word, I told him I needed the flowers by 10:00am and they arrived at 11:00am.  Which was more than enough time.  Just make sure you budget extra time b/c the last thing you want is a rush.  He brings them in vases so they will keep.  His flowers looked exactly like the pictures he sent.  I used the free bouquet with the complimentary package, which was gorgeous.  But it did not match his flowers that well. I would recommend paying for a brides bouquet through him so everything matches and just decline the complimentary bouquet through the resort.

Seems like a silly question but just looking at packages and wondering what exactly is meant by: "**Dinner reservation for 35 guests" What if all of our guests aren't staying at the resort? Also, what if we end up with more guests? Really beginning to explore this option now and it's already looking overwhelming!

You literally get a reservation at one of the restaurants on the resort... and the most they can accomodate is 35 guests at any resort restaurant...so if you have more than 35 people coming to your wedding, then you must get a private event... Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
