Amara, I don't really remember all the choices for the cakes. We decided in person.  I just remember thinking we should pick what everyone would like...so we picked marble.  Maybe you could ask if you could taste tests the different kinds...it looks like you have a large group, so maybe they will cater to you!?!  The cheese cake at the restuarants doesn't taste like regular cheese cake. Maybe we got a bad batch?  It tasted horrible...hard to describe what it tasted like.  It was kinda chunky.  Before you meet with your coordinator go to one of the buffets and try the desserts...see what you like. That should help you out!

I posted my review right after BDW changed over to their new site & at that time they shut down any new posts on the review threads & they wanted the reviews posted with the resort description.  I guess they changed their mind & it looks like my review has been moved & set up as its own thread.

They don't provide music for the cocktail party, but if you provide it, I don't see why you couldn't break into dance. I considered doing our traditional dances at the cocktail party.

Miss Mocha - Do you happen to know how much MP charges to rent the Caribbean Terrace? Thanks for any additional info that you have. Since I can't get assigned a MP WC until 90 days before, I'm feeling a little lost.

JL - I think they wanted $12 per person but can't remember for sure. Tell your Miami contact that you want pricing. They should be able to provide it, or put you in contact with a WC in Cancun. Once you tell them you want to book private events, usually the $ makes them react quickly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
