Ladies, question about the cake situation. We are interested in the cake below, has anyone ordered it? My question is, that it says $280 but does that mean I have to get the flowers here? Or will they change the flowers based on our color scheme at the reception for no charge?

Also, does anyone know how many people this cake serves? Thanks!

I'm doing this under my sister's membership... and haven't gotten hardly anywhere even with our pulling strings :(

Luckly my uncle, who's membership we are using, is a rock star....he went up the chain of command and finally found someone who would work with us...and man did they go above and beyond for us now!

I hope this new contact will continue to be great for us!

My understanding is that you get the cake you see in the picture!!! i'm sure it's easy enough to make some requests on colors of the flowers...though my guess is that once you change the actual flower it could get complicated because flowers areound there are so ridiculously expensive. I don't know how many it serves yet either :( I decorate cakes for fun, and my best guess about this cake and a 3 tiered cake would be at least 75 pieces

I would imagine that they could.  I haven't picked a cake yet.  My WC hasn't said asked me to pick a cake.  I just told her I wanted two tiers and the flavors.  I don't really want to pick from their pictures.  I feel like they are kind of old and what if it doesn't even really look like that?  I plan on waiting till I get there and just kind of giving them an idea.  Claudia hasn't said anything about it so I am assuming it's ok.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
