I will not have assigned seating.  I like the un-formality of a destination wedding and will continue that with the reception.  One less thing I will have to worry about.  I figure with such a small group everyone will know each other/ get to know each other come reception time so it won't matter who sits next to who.

Quick question - we are debating as to whether to have assigned seating at the reception or not.  We have 30 people total, so 3 tables of 10 with a buffet.  What is everyone else doing?

OMG, after pining through ALL of my emails regarding photography... I realized IT'S NOT SASCHA who's charging crazy... it's Del Sol! Ha, my bad!! I'm clearly getting super confused with all of these vendors...

Thanks anyway ladies -- now I remember that we ruled out Sascha because he had never done an Indian wedding before... sorry for the confusion!

Our group is 29 people including us.  We are doing 3 round tables of 9 and a sweetheart table for us.  I just order my place cards tonight.  I wasn't planning on doing them at all, but I have a few people coming by themselves and wanted to make sure they were seated with people they would feel comfortable with.  I also wanted to have the wedding party sit at one table together with their dates.

Please please please.....can you help me! I have Lorena also and she has been HORRIBLE! I literally had 3couples/rooms that were so frustrated they couldn't get there questions answered by Lorena after 2 VM and an e-mail....so they went and booked w/ a Travel Agent! Which sucks b/c now I'm sure they wont give us the room night credits! Ahhhhh.............

We are booking under a VIP membership...and I am astounded at the service we are receiving!

I would love to see your letter you wrote and if you could provide me w/ Lisa contact information and the e-mail for the membership department so I can do the same that would be great!

My e-mail is lizselzer@gmail if that is easier to send to.

I finally had it with Lorena. We had a pretty big issue this past Monday and I was beyond upset!!!! Tuesday afternoon I wrote a letter 4 pages long and emailed it to her, Lisa and blind copied the membership department. I outlined what my experience has been from the beginning, what issues I was having, and what I hoped they would do about it.

This morning I received a response from Lisa. She was very nice and fixed all of my issues. I hate that it had to get to that point but I am glad that I handled it and got the issue resolved.

Shlebygirl-

love the hollow square idea! I think that is brilliant! Sounds really intimate as everyone can talk and laugh together!

Do you have pictures? did you post a review? would love to see...lizselzer@gmail  is great to send info to!

Did you move the tables after dinner for the reception? I have around the same # of guest- but I am excited for the dancing after dinner during our reception.

Thanks and CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
