and yet when I went to vacation at MP--- they allowed me to use someone else's room number to get their points... no transfering was necessary...

Maykaym4-

That is what I expected to spend- I dont want to go over $2000, but that sounds like a good deal.  Did you get all the pictures you needed in the 5 hours the day of the wedding?

Do you have your photos yet??? I would LOVE to see them!

We just got married 2/13/11 at MP and we booked Sascha Gluck for our wedding and a TTD session afterwards.  He was AMAZING and his pricing was VERY reasonable.  We did a 7-hour package (5 hours the day of and a 2-hour TTD session the next day) and it came in right around $2,000.  He also offers smaller packages for less.  I would definitely check him out!  cancunphotos.net

Good luck!

Wow, i'm glad to hear the great reviews about Sascha!  I've been going back and forth in my mind if I should use him.  I was going to fly in my photographer but the price for a single room is through the roof!!  I really love my photographers work but i'm having a hard time rationalizing paying close to $400/night for my photographer.

I hope you can post some pictures soon.

This is a really cute idea! If we do this, we might do it where we put pictures of us with each of our guests on a different page, so then the guest can find their picture with the bride and/or groom and sign there... I feel like that adds an extra personal touch!  However, it definitely takes much more time trying to find pics of yourself with all of your guests!

Yeah, we're actually leaning towards flying in our photographer too. Two of them are coming down together, so both flights, and room for mulitple nights is definitely adding up! I'm going to look at Sascha now too after reading these posts... but my big concern is whether or not they've ever shot an Indian wedding... if not, I'm very reluctant to use them because they won't know what parts of the ceremony are the most important to catch!... we'll see! Thanks for the info ladies!

I am using Sarah from Sprouillie Designs (she is currently in the process of finishing our STDs).  Her turnaround time via email is typically 5 days, so give her some time.  Since, Sarah's turnaround is a few days, I would be specific with your email and timelines.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
