Hello beautiful brides to be! I just confirmed our date of Novemeber 13th 2011!  now, this is on a sunday and I read that they dont hold wedding on Sundays? I am kind of scared that they are going to take my deposit and than tell me i need to reserve a different time.

Is anyone else getting married on a Sunday? also, how long after you reserved the date did you get contacted by a WC and an on-site WC? I recieved an email saying that I wouldnt be able to reserve ceremoney or reception locations until 90 days out which is effin crazy to me.

thanks for the help :)

Congrats, Jess!! Planning is so fun and exciting!  I'm pretty sure they do have weddings on Sundays b/c my wc suggested that I move mine to a Sunday.  Get in touch with your Miami contact and request the information for your onsite planner or her assistant.  If you have your heart set on a certain location for the ceremony or private events reserve them as early as possible.  If they say you have to wait, insist that they allow  you to do so.  Good luck!

I think I have read somewhere that parts of Mexico only do symbolic ceremonies on Sundays so you might just want to double check.

I agree that it doesn't make sense that the other ceremony sites are booked....I was told they did one an hour or something like that.

Does anyone know what section the Venado Terrace is in?  I cannot find it on the map my WC sent me.  I'm trying to reserving locations for the cocktail hour and reception.  My first choice, Tuscan Garden and Terrace has already been reserved by someone else.  Can anyone suggested any other locations?  My ceremony is at dolphin beach.

Does anyone know if Moon Palace has adjoining rooms? FI's grandma wants to come but not cramp anyone's style so she was hoping to get an adjoining room. I don't think they do, but if someone can confirm that would be great. Sadly, the couple she was going to travel with is reconsidering since they found out the cost.

Does anyone have any hotel bar recommendations on the Nizuc side? I am getting married at Tucan Beach and we are probably just going to have guests head over to one of the bars for our informal "cocktail hour" instead of paying for one.  If anyone has any recommendations of decent outdoor (by the pool) and indoor bars that would be great!

Yes they are adjoining rooms...but in actuality it would be considered a presidential suite. they are HUGE and BEAUTIFUL> but also DOUBLE the price since it's like 2 rooms...

so there's one double bed room, then a door that connects to a common area of kitchenette, living room, jacuzzi, then another door that connects to the 2nd room....so the common area is in between them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
