Hi!! I just had a quick question.  My wedding coordinator is Pilar Fernandez and I was wondering if anyone else has/had her as their coordinator?  So far she has been really helpful with answering any questions I have had.  I am just in the beginning stages of planning but I am really excited!

Thanks,

Hey Angela,

You can get the 1500 vacation dollars if you book through the travel agent. My travel agent booked us (I think through Delta Vacations), and we received the $1500.

Happy Booking! :)

I wonder, am I the bride you are referring to, Ivan? I spoke to the Cancun coordinators as well and they said it was ok, as long as we got you a room...I don't know why my WC in Miami would say something different? Maybe they are playing hardball...so I will pay them more money? Seems a little bit dishonest, if you ask me.

I asked my WC the same question regarding the photograhper and I was told that all I had to do was purchase day passes for them. I think 1 night stay or a day pass will do. I was going to get my way either way because there was no way I was going to use the resort photographer, after all of the reviews I've read about him. FYI: I've read on this forum that most brides, due to the restrictions by the resorts, They don't disclose that they're having an outside photographer. They just purchase a day pass or pay for a 1-2 night stay, to get around the policy. It always works!! What are they gonna say on your wedding day.... You can't have an outside photographer? NOT! At that point it's all said and done and they'll just go along with it. All you have to say is that it's a friend or family member taking photos.

I chose a destination wedding because it's a weekend full of excitement and beautiful memories; rather than just one night. The resort and staff made everything so much better. I couldnt ask for anything more!! Definately recommend Palace Resorts! Wish you all the best of luck :)

I'm also considering the Diamond package. What colors were the ceremony decorations and flowers?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
