I'm trying to decide between MVP and Fernando - they've both gotten such great reviews! 'Fernando brides' - your pics are beautiful - did you have any issues with contacting him for pricing/booking/etc? I emailed him over a week ago for a price list and availability and still no response :(

MVP responded quickly but no word him Fernando's team - just curious if any of you experienced this?

Would you ladies recommend doing a trial w/him? Part of me wants to bc even though he's obviously amazing at makeup, I'm more worried about my hair....but then again, I'm not sure I want to pay for 2ppl's day passes TWICE, so maybe I just just take a leap of faith....

Any suggestions?

I did a trial as well because i wanted that assurance that my hair and makeup would look amazing........I think it's a good idea to do so, if you have the extra funds..how much is the day pass? I mean, if you have a few photos of ideas of how you want your hair, and book them to come in early enough during the wedding day where if you wanted to make small changes to it, then you wont need a trial! But if it's going to give you peace of mind a couple days before the wedding, then do it! Plus if you are having a welcome dinner etc the day of your trial, then you'll be dolled up for that day too.......They'll just switch up your hair style after you decide what you want for the wedding, that way you wont have the same wedding day hair =)

Thanks for the helpful advice! I've definitely decided to book Fernando - but still going back & forth on the trial. The day passes are $89 per person (so almost $400 in just day passes if I did both trial and wedding day)! You bring up some great points though :)

Congrats on your wedding - your H&M were beautiful!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
