Fernando at MakeupPros Cancun for makeup review

I used Fernando from MakeupPros for my makeup and he brought someone to do my hair. They were both amazing. I did a trial run first and loved it. For the actual wedding, it was even more incredible. Fernando is great to work with and totally fun when you are getting ready. He was easy to communicate with and gave me the exact look I wanted it (which is especially impressive as I didn't articulate myself very well in terms of what I was looking for). I just went to Cancun and had my hair & make up trial with Fernando and his hair guy. I have to second your high recommendation. I thought he was awesome in every way. I was really impressed and I can't wait to see what he's going to do for the wedding when it's the real thing. I felt like a different woman when they were done with my hair & makeup.

 

Another thing I really loved was his personality. He was so laid back, funny and just fun to be around. Those are exactly the kind of people I want to surround myself while I'm getting ready on my weding day:)

Thanks for the great recommendation and for Fernando's email address! I have been trying to use the 'contact us' link on his website and it wasn't working.

I'm going to Playa for a site visit this May but won't be getting married until May 2011. I'd love to do a trial while I'm down there if possible...do you remember how much the trial cost?

Can you tell us how much you paid total, for hair and makeup for that day? And did he do your bridesmaids as well? I have 6 bridesmaids, so I would want someone to do all 7 of us!

I am still getting pictures from my friends, but once I get them I will post some. I think both the trial and day of hair and makeup was around $350. My maid of honor (she was my only bridesmaid) decided to get hers done last minute and I do not remember the cost, but I can try to look it up if you want. I had a blast with them though. Not only do they have excellent skills, but they are a lot of fun too.

I just got married last week and Fernado did my make-up and his hair guy Gama did my hair.

 

I don't wear makeup...i don't like the look or feel of it and my husband's only wish was that I look natural on the wedding day. Fernando did a great job! I didn't even feel like I had makeup on...it felt and looked really natural. He is very talented. He only uses MAC products and he even gave me a lipstick to keep for touchups throughout the night:) And I LOVE HIS PERSONALITY! He is so much fun and just made me feel so relaxed. I paid $300 for hair & makeup. My mom and one of BM's did their makeup with him and another BM had her hair done. I think he charged $60 or $80 for the BM/mother makeup.

I love the make up job that he does but I am worried about the hair. Does he use the same person each time? to me it seems like its easier to screw up the hair than it does the make up. By chance do any of you ladies know whether he would just do the make up?
