I'm hiring an outside vendor. I've heard mixed reviews and I can't seem to find any particular information on who the resort uses. The unforunate thing, is if you choose to get an outside vendor, the hotel has a "no outside vendors" policy. The only way to bypass this is to book your photographer a hotel room for the night.

Bride from Scotland - who did you hire? I just recieved an email from Del So that they no longer accept bookings at MP! sad.gif

I don't mind paying a little more for a photographer I love and can see the wrok they've done. I have not come across any photo's from a MP photographer.

I hired Sascha Gluck...love his work, and the pictures are the most important to me.

If you go to the review section...many MP brides have used the resort photographer. Many say that the best is David Pena and request him.

Also, read MP 2008/2009 brides thread. It is VERY lengthy and there is plenty of photographer talk there

Initially I was just going to go with the Moon Palace photographer but now once I've had a think about it I think I want an outside vendor after looking at some websites- now the choice ofwhich one! Also being as our wedding package already includes a photo package am I able to have both? (Does that sound greedy?) Currently we just have the basic photography package? I understand we have to pay for a night for the photographer also can they come in on a day pass?

Thanks for your help as ever!

Maura - from this forum - just photographed a wedding at the Moon Palace. The bride wanted, not only professional photos, but also photos from more than just one day (TTD).

But you could probably contact her and ask her about the requirements to photograph there. I know she stayed, but they might require more than one night. You should send her a message to verify.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
