Sunwing taking over rmb

Recommended Posts

I just got a call from my travel agent, telling me that sunwing is taking over half of sunquest's RIU resorts. The RIU Montego Bay is one of them. Does anyone know how or if this will affect the wedding. Sunquest is already not honoring our wedding group rate. Help!

Would that explain why they tried to change my wedding package details ?

i have had to argue about the photographer as when we booked last april we were told we had a photographer included

i contacted michael about a month ago who advised me that the wedding packages no longer include photography!!!

so i went mad at my travel agent who confirmed that i would definately get everything that we have on the list

fingers crossed sherika will agree

I dont think they can change what you already signed a contract for. but that might fall in the same terms as if a company went under after you've already signed a contract. This is why we are thinking about getting wedding insurance. A lot of the resorts are having troubling times with this economy and we don't want to be victims financially if they decide to change things in our contract after we already signed it.

After doing a little more research and talking with my TA, I found out that sunwing is taking over half of all of the RIU properties from sunquest - but not until november. Sorry to cause stress to anyone getting married before that, but for some that are getting married after november, talk to your ta.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
