I highly recommend flying directly to Punta Cana and then taking a bus/shuttle/taxi to the resort. Do not rent a car! We made that mistake.. People drive crazy over there! lol. Also, the beach is very windy on most days, so keep that in mind when planning the small details of your wedding ceremony. Other than that, it is an awesome place... truly gorgeous. I can't wait to go back! It is the perfect setting for a wedding.. and the perfect setting for great photos!! If you haven't booked a photographer, I'd love to be considered wink.gif

Happy wedding planning!

I am getting married June 2010 also (the 14th!) at MPPC. They sent me photos of the beach, the gazebo with grass on top and another gazebo that is square and white stucco. As far as I know those are the only 3 wedding ceremony locations that they allow you to have.

Sounds like you have the photos, but if you'd like to see what I have just let me know! We also had friends that went down in Jan...she took tons of photos but there was no sign of a garden that faces the ocean in them or on the map of the resort.

I've been in contact with another bride who got married in May and she said to not stress or worry about the planning. She basically planned the whole thing in the 2 days before the wedding once she arrive, and they are more than helpful and easy to work with!

When is your wedding?!

Thanks for the advice. I will be sure to share with my guests.

I do have a photograher, but I did share your site with my friends as a resource for them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
