I need your help... how in the world do I get into contact with Claudia the wedding coordinator? Is she always this unresponsive? Tell me your secret...I'm about to pass on this resort because she has not sent me one iddy biddy email in 2 weeks. I have the coordinator at the Iberostar email 3 times and nothing from Dreams....Sorry to rant.......

Call the hotel and ask to speak to her or Daniela, the wedding coordinators.

It does take a while for Claudia to respond if your wedding is far off.

I have heard they have several weddings there every week, so I cannot imagine how bogged down they are.

My wedding is quite far off - I am not extremely worried anymore since I am used to the 2 wk response.

I thought I had to have everything set and deposit sent in early, but we are still working on it and I have my date set with them.

What's the number you girls call to get into contact with Claudia. I've only gotten one email back from her and other than that I have gone through my TA, but with my wedding approaching I am going to want to talk with her about the details and would much rather do it over the phone. Do you girls call for your home or cell?? Isn't it expensive?? I mean it is Mexico.. Sorry he he....I know stupid question.

Carolena, I don't have a ph # nor have I called. I'm waiting for a response through a TA. However, I'm easily offended when someone doesn't reply to me within 3 weeks so I think I'm going to look elsewhere. If Claudia is so busy then perhaps she doesn't need my business.

Your question about calling her isn't stupid at all. I was wondering the cost of calling mexico myself. I think your best approach would be to get a calling card that way you can track how much $ you're spending. Good luck.

I was thinking about something else regarding the delayed responses. I have heard before from other girls that when they sent an email and claudia responded to it the email was going directly to their junk mail folder (I think), so they never got the response from claudia. I'm pretty sure gmail accounts is one that has problems, but I can't remember if there were others as well, you might want to check your junk mail folder just in case.

also, a few months ago, I was having a problem where I would get error messages and my emails weren't going through because there was a problem with the server.

I usually just go through my TA if I can't get a response and she usually gets me one pretty quick.

Hey Ladies:

I was just married this past weekend at Dreams. After meeting with Daniella, I understand why the response is slower than we would like. She explained that anywhere between 85-125 emails come in everyday, many of them very detailed. While I was there, there was a wedding everyday and they are in and out of the office all day attending to the bride and groom. Each day there is a wedding, their work day does not end until 10:30-11:00 p.m. and begins at 9:00 a.m. Most weddings were between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. As your date approaches, correspondence is very quick.

Overall, the WC at Dreams were fantastic and very attentive. Brides on this forum will be OK because many of the details will be already worked out before they arrive in Cancun. We only had to meet with Daniella for 10 minutes to confirm. She sent a final contract to me and I finalized many details and emailed them back to her. They were very receptive to everything and willing to please. When we met, we simply went over the details and we were on our way.

If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask questions....everyone on the forum is extremely helpful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
