Hi ladies....

 

I am wondering if anyone has had their wedding at Cabo Azul? I have visited the resort a few years back and it was beautiful!

 

I requested all the paperwork from them, looked over it and realized they didn't offer open bar just by consumption. I am curious to see if they offer anything else but just don't list it on their menu.

 

Also it has been difficult to contact them, I must of emailed them three time with no response. I am getting discouraged because I am hoping to get married in November and just want to start the planning process.

 

If anyone has encountered situations like this please let me know.

I was married at Cabo Azul in October and everything was absolutely perfect! That said....they can definitely take awhile to respond. I also had concerns like you, but I think they just do things at a slower pace than here in the US. I just want to reassure you that everything will be perfect and turn out just how you want! Do not worry...

im hoping to have a wedding there next year. i looove the resort. however, ive heard so many bad stories about the event planner, sergio. im a little scared that he may give my wedding planner some trouble. im looking into a plan b location in the event i run into issues early on such as non-responsivenes..

I'm getting married there in October, and so far, things have been great in the planning process. You're right in that they don't do an open bar option...you pay per drink, which is going to be very costly!! Eek! But, the hotel is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. Sergio, although I thought he was great, is no longer with Cabo Azul. The new planners are Carolina, Bertha, and Isabel. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet, as things are now moving really slowly. Hope this helps! And, Alanna, thanks for the positive feedback! Angela--I am not using an outside planner...just hoping for the best!!! I have a conference call with them next week!! I just hope everything goes smoothly there...I have been getting overwhelmed with the change in planners/lack of organization...let's hope its temporary!! What date did you get married?? I'm on 10/16! Hoping for great weather and great party!!! :) Do you have photos from your weddinghuh.gif

I havent gotten married yet. Just got engaged on nye this year and am planning for a april 2010 or october 2010 wedding.. I really have my heart set on cabo azul tho so im anxious to see how your planning process goes.. im about 95% sure i want to do cabo azul. im talking to diff wedding planners now and am not sure if i want to use one in cabo or here in the states.. Good luck w/all your planning- make sure to keep us/me posted of your process- the highs and lows lol!! :-D.... and congrats!!.. also if you pick up the current grace ormonde magazine (or look online), you'll see pics of a couple who had their wedding there last yr. it was beautiful!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
