well i am getting married at Iberostar. We went to MoBay last year just for some R&R and ended up at IRH Grannd. WE were in love at the gates. Went to visit some of the other tops resorts and I didnt like them at ALL. They had that nasty mold and wasnt very modern. I also love the fact they do one wedding a day giving my guest and me tht one on one attention. I have pictures of the resort from our trip......it is a clean resort with lots to do on site!

Can you post some of your pics from your visit or email me a few (mekanabr@gmail.com)? I'd really appreciate it!! The pics on their website aren't that great so I'd love to see some more. Also, do you have any info from the WC about their wedding pricing/locations etc? Would love any info you have to share! THANKS!!!! :)

  • 8 months later...

I'm feeling torn too between these two resorts. Ugh! I wish I can combine some perks from one into the other and vice versa. I know what it will come down to for us and I'm sure a lot of couples is the price. We're having a dw to save $ and to have something different that we can share with our close fam and friends. Decisions decisions...however, I have a feeling we're going to end up at Iberostar which I we really liked when we went to visit.

I've been to both, we were married at IRHS (last month) but stayed at RH Hilton last time we were there (last year).  IRHS is a much nicer more modern resort with a great staff.  I only saw a wedding at the Aqeducts from our balcony which was beautiful but super expensive if I remember correctly.  I think either would be beautiful but I'd recommend the IRHS if it helps.

I just got back from the IRHG and I checked out a couple of weddings at the suites. I would 100% say the suites over the Hilton. I stayed at the Rose Hall Hilton last September and the food and service doesn't match up to the Iberostar. I'm posting alot of pics on my snap fish account of both the grand and suites properties and weddings. Let me know if you're interested and I'll e-mail you a link.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
