What are you doing to prepare your self?

Tons of water, better diet, walking and I started Proactive. I have been a skeptic for YEARS about proactive...but decided there wasn't a better time to try it out. I'm 31 years old and STILL have problem skin. So I bought it at a kiosk in the makll to avoid a "monthly subscription" to the mail plan they have on tv. I'm telling you...it was the best $50 I have ever spent. My skin stopped breaking out after a week and all the areas where I have had repeat trouble for years have been slowly healing back to normal skin color. I'm glad I started it a few months ago...my wedding is 4 months off and by then I'm hoping everything will look 100%.

Also, will probably spray tan...I'm a booth tanner in the summer but the spray tan you can get a the At The Beach stores are wonderful.

Good question! :)

So proud of myself.....already down to the weight I want to be for the wedding, and conitnuing to hit the gym every day! Trying to figure out how far in advance I should start my microderm....need to get my skin cleared up. Does anybody know of good skin treatments for the rest of your body? I tend to break out on my arms and back, and I can't have that in a sexy wedding dress!!!

I started using Proactive, not because of the wedding, just to try to clear up my skin in general. I have been using it for more than two months and it is working really well. They also sell body washes and creams which seem to work as well, just a little pricer than what the stores carry.

I will also be spray tanning, working out and eating better. So much work!

I joined a kickboxing class a month ago (for weight loss), drinking more water (mostly for skin) and cutting back on a whole bunch of junk (for everything). I was thinking of getting proactive. my skin is not that bad but I wanted that extra clear skin. and I do believe that after you stop your skin gets worse. I just didn't want to depend on it.

To prepare, I have started doing something I have never done in my life - exercise. Ugh! I have started working out to Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. It is brutal but it works. Also, I have recently started suffering from break outs which I never had before, so I have started using, Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Control (I don't want any black heads) - CLEAN & CLEAR® Webstore Advantage®Acne Control Kit.

I'm also growing my hair out, which I haven't done in a long time. So I got a cut and trim and now for the next year and a half or so I will be concentrating on hair health and growth so I can have my desired hairstyle on my wedding day (may still need to put in some tracks, but hey I will be on my way).

That's pretty much it for now, these are just the preliminaries.

I stopped eating dairy and drinking caffeinated coffee.

I go to an esthitician once a month and get a facial and chemical peel, my skin looks amazing now!

I have upped my workouts and lowered my carbs, 5-6 days a week

More water, light tanning, no fast food.

Getting my eyebrows waxed once a month so they look normal LOL

Getting an oxygen facial the week before the wedding and a massage

I have been eating clean and healthy. I go to an esthitician and the dermatologist for my skin...skin has improved. I am drinking a lot of water and have raised the intensity of my workouts. I've lost a little bit of weight but over all looking great!

I am contemplating a spray tan before we go. I am fair so not sure if I'll do that. I don't want to be pasty but not orange either. It may come down to a more natural look which is truly me.

I need to get my eyebrows fixed -- they are too thin, so I'm trying to let them grow out before June when I can get them done properly (any suggestions on this --how long does it normally take? If I stop fussing with them now, will it be enough time)

We are also looking into teeth whitening -- not sure whether to try the crest white strips first, or go professional first.

I'm going to tan -- but I haven't done spray tanning before, but I don't feel like it will help much. I am against tanning, but I burn really easily so it may pay to go 3 times before to get a base.

I want to get my nails done too --but I have never had fake nails put on! lol..so advice on that would also be great!

if you are patient and don't touch your eyebrows they will definately grown in way before june. once they start growing in, make sure not to pluck!!! let them grow thicker than you actually want them so that when you get them done the esthetician will have some room to work with. i get my eyebrows threaded and love them!!

i've had my teeth whitened with dentist gel and i've done it at home with crest white strips. i really like the strips, they work nicely. my teeth get sensitive so i do them every other day instead of every day. my teeth are super white--people tell me i should be on the strips commercials lol--and i havent done the strips for a year or so...they work!! i will say that i don't smoke or drink sodas or coffee though, but i do drink red wine.

as for the nails...i had fake nails for 10 years!!! i liked them at the time, but finally decided that i wanted to try having my own nails. it took a long time for my nails to become strong again and now i love them. i feel that natural nails look better. i still get manicures every few weeks. FI likes them better than acrylics.

hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
