- my wedding dress purchased (ready and to be picked up still)

- Groom and groomsmen shirts purchased

- Ceremony program printed (via vistaprint)

- raffia fans purchased (just not put together for the ceremony programs yet)

- my mom booked a hall for my bridal shower already

Hi Ladies!

I just got back from the Riviera Maya - we had issues with our resort's chapel opening. We went down and found two good ones while we were down there.

Our save the dates were sent and we've been set with 11/13th this whole time...the problem is that the chapel we really fell in love with, Xcaret Assisi chapel, is booked and they don't have any time openings other than 10am....

We have two options if we really love the church: Doing a ceremony at 10am or switching our date to 11/12th.

What are your thoughts...? We are so confused!!

So far the few people that have booked their travel are arriving on the 10th....

If we change the date it's better for us to do it now than wait for more people to book.

I would think it would be easier to change the time rather than the date as you will be losing a full day rather than an hour. And if some of your guest arrive on the 11th they may not get much time to get settled before the big day the next day. Just my initial thoughts.

I agree. It would be easier to change the time instead of the date. You already sent out the std's and you dont want to confuse people or make things more challenging for your guests. Its already difficult to convince people to come to a DW, changing dates may make matters worse.

Thanks for your help!

The only issue with changing the time is that it can only be changed to 10am. Our reception isn't until 6pm. I asked the wcoordinator if there was something they could do with timing but the bride getting married there that day is having hers at 5:30pm but her decorator will need 6 hours to prepare. Wish this was an easier one since we love the chapel so much.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
