I haven't even started OOT bags yet. I have done pretty much all I can until I have the number in my group confirmed. Once I have that, then there will be TONS of more planning to do.

I was a rainy day in Chicago so I decided to work on my OOT bags. I had ordered the canvas totes from oriental trading company. So today I printed up some stencils and fabric painted 40 bags with either a palm tree, dolphin, or seahorse. It took me forever but I have one thing checked off my list!

Las Caletas is a cove just south of Puerto Vallarta. It was the area John Houston (the director) used to vacation at. They have day trips, dinner shows (Rhythms of the Night) and weddings. Everyone will have to take a catamaran to the cove as there are no roads to it. No hotels or anything like that. Check out their website.... What is the area you are getting married at like?? How far along are you with planning?

Hi All! Ok I'm officially a loner here I think, I've searched the thread and don't see anyone getting married in Hawaii in November like me. But I can't wait to read through and see what stage you're all at in your planning. I feel like I'm really behind with only 6 months left! I have the ceremony package booked, the dress purchased yesterday, and the STD cards will go out tomorrow. Yikes whats next!?

Hello ladies!

I am getting married on November 18 at Dreams Tulum. We invited 55 people to the wedding. So far we have 37 people booked, with 10 more that have not booked yet. I sent out about 4 emails 'harassing' people to book early :) We did have a TA set up a deal for us, and at first I felt like I needed to 'help' everyone book their trips, until my fiance reminded me that they were all adults and could do it themselves! We figure that as long as the important people are booked, the rest are just icing on the cake. The frustrating thing was trying to dissuade people who weren't invited from booking. Kinda funny, but it all worked out thank god! I did not feel like paying for people who weren't on the list :)

Hello!!

I'm getting married Nov 24 at the Gran Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay Jamaica!! I can't wait!!

I have pretty much got everything in order. I have already sent out the invites....totally skipped the STD cards...I put the RSVP's for July 1st, but the price I was quoted from my travel agent is only good 'til June 5th, so I put that if people wanted to be guarenteed the listed price they needed to book with my TA by the end of May...

My colour is a bright blue! I think it will look awesome next to the water!

I bought my dress...go for my fitting next month!! diet time!! cheesy.gif

The only thing we really have left to do is find the clothes for the guys!!

P.S. I found that a lot of travel agents kept telling me that I couldnt book yet, but then when I started talking to TA that only deal with group bookings I found out that they had been booking for a while...

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi Girls!!!

So excited to see this thread. I'm a November bride as well:)

Our wedding date is 11/13/2010 - seems like there are a bunch of us sharing that date!

13 is my lucky number! We are from the CT/NY Area.

We are getting married at the Hacienda Tres Rios in the Riviera Maya.

Our colors are silver, cobalt blue, and a few black accents.

Is there anyone looking to share a photographer around our date?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
