yay for the same wedding date! as for spending the same amount of money at home - yes i totally agree with you but just think how much more fun it would be in Mexico?!

Hey OceanWonderland! I think that we have communicated a bit on the Dreams Tulum thread. I am getting married there 15 days before you. I am getting super excited, but there is still so much to do...

I have a question for the November brides, I'm not going dress shopping until the end of May when I can fly home to shop with my Mom & sister.. how long does it generally take once you purchase your dress for it to come in? I worry that I'm cutting it a little close, but this is really the soonest I can get down to Florida since we're moving next month and I don't want to shop without them.

It only took 3 months to get my dress once it was ordered, so I think you should be fine. But I have heard it can take up to 6 months, but I think that mainly applies to higher couture end dresses and my budget was waaaayyy under those prices. Mine was around $1K.

I was told for alterations to get those done about 4 - 6 weeks before the wedding. So if you order your dress in May or June, you should have it by September and then just go straight to alterations.

Dress shopping was so much fun!! Even though I have my dress already, I wish that I could still go 'looking' since it's so much fun trying on dresses. But I'm scared I'll find something super beautiful and second guess my decision. Maybe I'll go to a store that only sells really expensive dresses that I know I could never afford anyways and just try those on for fun :) Have a great time with your mom and sister!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
