How far along in the wedding planning has everybody gotten? This could be a great resource for girls that might have very close wedding dates at the same resort to share chair sashes and other decorations, helps with cost and baggage! So far no other Dreams Tulum brides, but maybe in the next 9 months one will pop up.

So far, I've got Dreams booked, about to finalize a photographer (which took MONTHS and MONTHS to choose) there are just too many amazing ones to choose between, booked our DJ, found my dress (!) and sent out Save the Dates just this week. Still have a decent amount left to do, have to book our trip and pick out bridesmaid dresses, OOT bags, gifts, and all the little things that just add up and up.

How long are you all staying down for your wedding? Is it also going to serve as a honeymoon? Can't wait to get to know you all as our wedding approaches. It seems you get to know your wedding month girls the best, since we seem to be on the same timelines of happiness and stress.
Haha, yes we are!! You have far more done than I do! I am hoping to book my photographer this week, just got my first round of proofs for my save the dates and won't be dress shopping until the end of April when I fly home.

We're probably staying at Dreams for 5 days and then we're looking into flying to the Bahamas or Jamaica from there for a week for our honeymoon :)

Glad to get a good response on this! As for my plans- we are having a small wedding too, and have reserved a house in Siesta Key right by the beach to stay in for the week. I find my officiant and actually won a photography package. Pretty exciting! She has had the contest for the past 3 years and does a great job. I'm not sending out STDs for our wedding but will need to this summer for our AHR. We are wanting to have a New Years Eve reception- mostly because we can have a big fun party and no awkward reception without the wedding. I need to find an alter/chuppa for the beach, chair rentals, DIY some stuff and order grooms suit.

Our colors are gray and shades of blue. I got a great deal on my dress its sweetheart cut, strapless, full lace and mermaid style. I LOVE IT!!

Still lots to do!

My colors are butter yellow, white and a touch of silver. We booked our 10 day stay already and I sent out my STD's about a month ago. Ill probably start dress shopping sometime in April. Ive been researching photographers and so far I like Victor Herrera's work and price. Theres still so much to do and I dont know where to start!

Seems like a lot of brides are picking shades of blue and gray/silver. Popular colors for November? I'm thinking about purple and green, but it sounds like my fiance wants yellow, so now it might be purple and yellow? I'm not sure how that will look. I feel like yellow would be washed out with their khaki pants...but he says it's a power color. Boys...

I like the idea of silver though, I hadn't even thought of that. Maybe purple and silver haha, I'm so indecisive when it comes to colors.

I booked my photographer yesterday!!! So exciting :) Such a relief to get that off my shoulders. I can't wait to do the TTD photos. My mom is super worried I'm going to ruin my wedding dress, but I don't understand why it's that big of a deal. Am I really going to wear that dress ever again? So I get it wet, it'll dry. Are any of you thinking of having a separate dress for the TTD or just gonna go all out?

Yeah, we picked navy blue and apple green. My Fiance was adamant about having blue as a wedding color! I was thinking of doing an eggplant color.. but that was obviously vetoed! I think purple and yellow would be pretty together though!

What photographer did you book? I know a lot of girls get second dresses for TTD but if I was just going to go in the ocean for the TTD session I would just wear my dress, a little water can't hurt it!

My FI was adament about blue being in the wedding too- I tried to do purple and gray. But yeah I figured I would let him have his way at some point and time = ) We are doing a TTD session- I am just going to wear my dress. If it gets ruined then fine! But I have read a lot of peoples dresses coming out cleaner!!

I heard the same thing that the dresses come out cleaner when you are done the TTD. I'm so indecisive with the TTD, it is really costly to do it and I'm not sure I want to spend the money even though I LOVE the way everyones photos come out. We can't have a diff vendor at our resort so I'd have to find someone just to the TTD .

I think purple and yellow would look great esp if it was a deep purple. The yellow would def make the purple pop.

I was going to have my friend and moh honor do our TTD pics. Shes creative and likes to take pictures. But it ended up working out that I got a engagement session with my photography package and I can't make it down to FL for that so she is going to do my TTD instead. Find someone with a little creative eye, and collect pics to recreate!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
