monkey.gifI have just started researching a destination wedding in St. Lucia. I think we're going to go with Windjammer Landing. Anyone have any personal experience with this resort? Any advice?

 

Does anyone know of a good place to have a proper reception dinner as many of the packages only include champagne and fruit and hors d'oeuvres.

We are getting married at the Windjammer this August. We went to visit the resort this past November to meet the wedding coordinators and look at the property to make sure it was everything we wanted. It is very pretty and the people are great. We are adding to our wedding package a full reception dinner and DJ.

Congratulations on your engagement! St. Lucia is an incredible destination for your wedding and I am so excited for you! You'll find wonderful ideas on this forum, but you should take a trip out there and see the places for yourself! Whereever you decide will be wonderful because you will be with the people you love the best in the world!

I know someone who got married in St. Lucia. They actually utilized the Winderjammer for their room block, but the actual ceremony/reception was at Jalousie Plantation. It was a blast!

I really wanted to hold my wedding in St. Lucia, but we are going to opt for the honeymoon there instead.

Hi my name is Nicole. My FI and I plan on getting married at the WJL but I am just realizing that they don't seem to offer a sit down reception. I'm pretty worried about the dinner. Would you be willing to share some details if you big day? We will married 7-11-12 Thanks Nicole

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
