Anyone use beach mats instead of chairs?

Almost forgot,

The bride actual aisle was in the front of all the guest. So she walking in front of everyone not down the traditional aisle down the middle, so no one was looking up at her as she made her way to the alter. Also, my friends wedding was very, very casual. Everyone was in surfer boy/girl attire, the groom & groomsmen even had solid dark brown board shorts on with nicer White button down shirts and most of the girls wore sundresses. It completely fit the two of them perfectly :), they are surfers and actually moved to Costa Rica after the wedding :).

i agree with the others on your guests may not feel comfortable sitting on the floor. if you set them up like this, i think it looks great. or, if you have less people you can have one row of chairs slightly angled on both sides.

I think this looks beautiful. We may do chairs after all. I will let you know what we decide! Thanks to everyone for their thoughts!

Hey everyone,

I ran across this today in Style me Pretty looking for inspiration, a wedding with beach seating :).... Thought I would share if anyone was wanting to see what this wedding was like :). It looks like there are 2 benches in the background as well and the guest count is pretty large :)

I think it depends on how formal your beach wedding is going to be if your all casual some raffia Matt's could be cute or even all one color beach towels if decorated correctly.  But if people are going to be super dressed up I'd say not.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
