I'm sure you can do it!!! Just think how great you'll feel once you've reached your goal! Maybe try to break it up into little goals between now and you're date so it doesn't seem so daunting??  I found it easier to focus on losing 5 pounds at a time vs. 20 or 30...

I want to lose 30...its going to be hard.....but as soon as my friend is on her way back to Germany I can get back on track (t-minus 4 more days)....

Hi kabee55,

I guess it depends on when your wedding is. I don't recommend going on an all protein diet until about 2 weeks before your wedding, to shed the last few pounds. Eating all protein, you lack the necessary nutrients your body requires that you get from fruits and veggies. It will also slow your metabolism. And even worse, once you start eating carbs and sugars again, you will most likely gain twice as much weight as you lost. I don't pretend to know what's good for everyone else, but I know from experience going on the Atkins diet a few years back. I lost 15 lbs in about 2 weeks, but then gained back about 25 lbs 3 months later. For me, the best diet is eating small, nutritious meals 5 times a day and complementing it with a balance of weight training and cardio about 4-5 times per week. Doing this, so far I have lost 9 lbs in 4 weeks!

Good luck with whatever diet you decide to go on!

Another idea for workouts that are quick but still effective are any of the "On Demand" (Through Verizon Fios) or any other cable provider that has "Watch it Now" options. The nice part is that they refresh the workouts so you don't get (overly) bored doing the same ones day in and day out. Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone ... We are getting married at Sandals Antigua on July 23 and leaving on the plane July 20th.  I really, really want to lose 15 pounds by the 20th.  I purposely got my dress a little snug to encourage me along so now I really need to do it.  Let's just say it zips but god help me if I bend over LOL.  I already work out quite a bit but I need to step up those workouts and really cut the calories.  It is very hard to do when we are stressing over everything and running around doing all the planning and no time to cook so we eat out. :(

No more eating out!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
