My trainer said AVOID frozen dinners and I think he's right. They used to be a frequent lunch for me (lean cuisines). But really, for like 300 calroies, you don't get a whole helluva lotta food and I was ALWAYS starving 2 hours after eating them. Plus, they're loaded with sugar, salt and preservatives and never enough protein so all they do is fill you up for a brief period and then give you an insulin crash soon after - no good. If time is an issue, cook a box (yes, an entire box/package) of boneless skinless chicken breasts on the weekend and keep them for your lunches throughout the week...make sure it's about 3-4 oz each. Then either throw it into a salad or pair it with some veggies (raw or cooked). This makes an easy lunch and way better for you. If you think you'll be hungry later, that's ok. Bring a healthy snack...such as a handful of almonds, lol. Don NOT worry about the fat/calories in roasted almonds...it is all healthy fat that the body knows what to do with!
