Weight Loss support for 2011 brides!!

I leave for MX on the 22nd... so I only have 2 more weeks... the scale is going down way to slowly for my liking and I don't seem to be losing inches either.  My dress technically "fits" but it has a pucker that I don't like between the zipper and corset, and I feel like the corset is using every last inch of lace.  What can I do????

I have never been this fit in my life and never thought I would be...I was always kind of a chubby kid when I was younger and I haven't been this size since I was 11 years old. I found an amazing personal trainer that got me into weight lifting, which I now LOVE. This has been instrumental!!! This along with Clean Eating has made all the difference for me. Anyone interested in info about Clean Eating (seriously it may change your life) should look at any of Tosca Reno's books and she also has a website. This is a total lifestyle change that will not leave you hungry, cutting out any major food groups, and is not at all complicated...very common sense and delicious. Anyhoo, thanks again ladies! This thread is awesome!!!

I'm Glad you liked it!  I really swear by it.  Mainly the eating plan I kind of do my own exercises and it works great for me! : )

Got INSANITY in the mail yesterday and I can't wait to start it.  Did you follow the calendar exactly?  I want to do it right but I honestly like doing other stuff - hiking, cycling, running stairs so I am wondering if I have to follow it to a T.  I know that is what is suggested -especially if you want to see the results in 60 days - but I want to see if others have done it differently.

I have sort of followed the calendar... There were a few times that after a workout I did another workout from Jillian Michaels because I feel like I want very targeted strength exercises too, so I did her "No More Trouble Zones" DVD as well. One day I was totally exhausted so I took a break and worked out on my rest day...and yesterday I was so motivated, I did the Cardio Power and Resistance video, did an Ab Ripper X from P90X, and then went out for a brief run!

I love using the videos because it's quick and it's at home, and I've found that my motivation for exercise in general has increased a million times over just from these videos because I started feeling stronger and even a bit leaner within the first few weeks! I can also run faster and longer and I can do real pushups!!

I'd say do what feels right for you. After starting the videos you might feel like it's enough, and you might feel like there are still some other things you want to do. Just make sure that you are not over doing it, and sticking with SOME sort of nutrition plan (I don't use the one from Insanity) and you will DEFINITELY see results soon!!

Also, come check us out at the Official Insanity thread on this site if you haven't already! (just search for it)

Thanks for your input.  I know once I start I'll just have to see how things go and how I feel.

On the hunt for the insanity thread.

Here is a bit of inspiration ... anyone out there having any luck in losing the pounds for the wedding!!??? As of tomorrow i've been at it for 3 months ... and I hit my 30 pounds lost today ! I feel great .. and people are starting to notice that i've slimmed down. I'm trying my best to do my aerobic exercise at least 3 times a week.. but that has been the tough part! As for the eating.. it's been pretty good... ! I fill my plate half of it is veggies, one quarter is carbs and one quarter is lean meat ... when I want to snack i've been making some sugarless jello ... and other than a craving for licorice that won't stop ... i've been pretty good... oh and i've count down a lot on soft drink ( but not drinking that much water .... )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
