I'm on phase 2 and I've entered fruits and healthy carbs back into my diet. I get to have one fruit a day and one of the following items (whole wheat wrap/bread/rice/sweet potato). It's not a "crash diet" it's a life style change.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Stay postive ladies...all it takes is hard work and dedication!!!cheer2.gif

AWESOME!! You're my inspiration!! LOL I'm on day 4 of the south beach diet and everything was going great, up until yesterday. I baked a cake for the family, which was a big mistake!! Every time I walked into the kitchen, the delicious looking cake kept staring me in the face. I finally gave into temptation and had a small piece. Boy was it so GOOD!! Then I remembered the purpose of this whole healthy eating thing and how badly I want it. So, I did my Jillian michael's 30 day shred. I didn't feel guilty or bad for myself after having the piece of cake. Funny thing is i'm not really a cake and cookie person. I fell off the wagon once and now i'm sticking to my guns and will ride this out because I really want this!! No more baking in my house. If the family wants cake, they better have it at a restaurant. LOL Are you following any of the south beach diet recipes or your own?

I would go back to day 1 and start all over again. You want to cleanse your body to make sure all the sugars and carbs are out of you for the 1st 2 weeks. There are so many great things you can still have on the diet...it you need a sweet you can have a sugar free fudge bar, sugar free pudding with cool whip, let me know what your craving and I'll give you a recipe. I'll all about being creative and not getting bored with what you're eating.

I hosted a baby shower at my house during phase one I put a lot of snacks out that I could have on the diet like zucchini cheesecake, veggies and dressing, guac and celery, and I made south beach friendly meatballs for myself. All the things I avoided eating: cupcakes, chips, my mom-in law-to beâ€s spinach pie and meatballs (which is one of her specialties), pizza, baked brie...these are all foods I LOVE! I just made sure that I always had something around that I could munch on. The funniest thing, before the party I say to my FI (who is also doing SB with me) I'm nervous that I might pick up something and eat it without even thinking about it and after realize what the hell did I just do. He thought I was absolutely insane...15 minutes later he picks up a chip and puts it in his mouth and spits it out. It's so crazy how our minds can so easily forget.

I'm here for you! You can do it!!

I was thinking the same. Sheesh and I was so looking forward to phase 2 because I love apples especially with peanut butter!! Peanut butter is not as tasty by itself. ugh!! Like i said, i'm not a sweets or dessert junkie. I guess it's just the fact that I can't have it, makes me want it. Yes, it's very easy to forget and eat something you're not supposed to eat. Please do share some recipes. I have the cook book but some of the stuff is so time consuming to make. How are you getting by? Have any simpler recipes?

Krista, in order to get your "true" weight you need to weigh yourself everyday for a month, and average it out! Don't weigh yourself everyday!!! Depending on where you are in your cycle, your weight is going to fluctuate!

Ok, So i weighed my self every day last month (and wrote it down), so I should averagae that out? an then do the same this month?

I like to weight myself everyday so I know what i can and cannot eat.  Certain foods tend to stick on me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
