Ahh, I really want to eat a bite size twix that is sitting on my desk right now!!  Need to resist temptation.  I ate my 100 cal bag of popcorn hoping it would fill me up.  I've done so good the past few weeks!!  Gotta keep it up.

That is the right attitude!!!

I've done many ridiculous diets in the past (namely the Dr. Bernstein Diet and Atkins) and the thing I like about WW is that I do not have to cut out any foods. I can eat whatever I want, BUT am accountable for what I eat. Yesterday a co-worker brought in lunch for me as a thank-you for a favour I did for her, and it was Lamb Korma and rice (my favourite Indian food!). I ate it, and enjoyed it, but suffered for the rest of the day because I had used so many of my daily points!

The other thing I really like is that you ARE NOT ALLOWED to set your long term goal from the strat. They make you hit 5% and 10% weight loss before you can set your long term goal. It's nice to look forward to small goals, like a 5 pound, 10 pound, 5%, 10% weight loss. It is overwhelming to think I need to lose about 50 pounds to be in a healthy weight range for my height (I'm 5'10, so my weight should be between 139-172).

I'm trying not to thing of this in terms of "oh no my engagement party is in 3 weeks" or "I want to be this size by my bridal shower" or "my wedding is 6 months away" and just live it instead. I want to make this a lifestyle choice, so that a year from now, I'm able to pick up and take a holiday and not be worried about wearing a bathing suit!

Ok, that's my rant for now. My meetings are on Wednesdays for WW, so I'll post my weight on Thursday mornings for those that want to follow along. I'm excited to see those numbers on the scale go down!

THE SECRET: Lots of cardio workouts and running! This really did the trick. I had to work myself to it but I started with 1 mile a week, then worked to 2miles a week. by June I was at 4-5miles a week. I made sure I worked up a good sweat. That feeling of exhaustion is neccessary. Comfortable workouts will tone you, but will only lose you a few pounds. I also began to drink loads of water from working out. Diets are good, but definitely lots of fat burning exercises are needed! I recently joined Crossfit and it has lost me 3 pounds in 1 week. Its high intense mixed workouts. I am continuing and loving the results!!!

As for weight watchers, there frozen meals are definitely helpful. I didn't use this for my wedding weight loss, but they have helped me in the past. So good idea!

I may have been 1 or 2 lbs under 140 by the actual wedding. Ladies, with a little bit of a workout and eating healthy, cutting carbs and sweets...it can do wonders!31319_1452042859600_1189128436_1298696_1045315_n.jpg

Ladies I am officially joining the weightloss support! I ordered my dress in November, I completely quit exercising and ate like crazy over holidays adn got pretty sick and went through two rounds of steriods (no excuse I know) needless to say I gained 10lbs since november and went on Saturday to try my dress on because it came in and it didn't fit! I mean it fit but didn't zip all the way up, about 2 inches leftcrybaby2.gif...I lost 30lbs in the end of 2006 beggingin of 2007 and have maintained it until now agggghhh, so mad at myself, anyway, I need support for sure, I'm sticking with what I did to lose 30lbs in first place,  which is proper nutrition along with portion control and exercise cardio/strength...wish me luck! I'm 5'3, my weight today was 142, my goal is 128, I just want to be under 130 again atually...im scared this is not possible by the last week of march which is my fitting for dress

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
