I have gained and lost and gained and lost so many times that I am going to try something completely different this time: I am bot focusing on weight, but rather on inches. I would like to lose:

5.5 inches from my bust

5.5 inches from my waist

6.5 inches from my hips

I anticipate that will be at least a 40 pound weight loss...sigh. I'm disappointed I've let myself look this bad :( Moment of self-pity, I apologize!

My wedding is in about 27 weeks, so that's about 1.5 pounds a week (not an astronmical amount, by far!).

Some milestones to reach my goals:

My engagement party (February 20th): I'd like to be down about 15 pounds by then, or a dress size.

My bridal shower (May 1st): Another 10 pounds

My wedding! (July 27th): A slim, toned beach goddess who feels comfortable flaunting a bikini!!!

You can do it!  I am wanting to lose about the same for my wedding July 15.  I started out the new year doing chicken, brown rice, and vegetables, but if I see another piece of chicken I'm going to puke. lol  I got a new diet from my fitness friend...same principles, and I love it!  You basically combine lean protein (chicken, fish, egg whites, fat free cheese, greek yogurt) with a complex carb (fruit, brown rice, vegetable, sweet potato, etc.).  I eat small meals at least 5 times a day...200-300 calories each.  Seems like a lot of food, but it's supposed to keep your metabolism going.  I've already lost 5 pounds!  On my way...

You can do it!   I have to lose 3 inches off my waist for my dress to fit. If I ordered a size up it would of cost me more, so I said no I will lose the 3 inches.  I have about 50 to lose overall but would be happy to lose 35-40, I am sure that should take care of the 3 inches.  When I ordered Turbo Jam it came with a sample diet so I have been following that. Covers all food groups and I am not bored with what I am eating which is a major plus for me!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I started my healthy eating routine yesterday (I've cut my calories to about 1500 a day; lots of lean meats, veg and fruit), and have started going back to the gym since the new year started (Body Bump, Body Attack, and RPM classes, along with a good dose of the elliptical). I'm in pain now but I'm sure I'll feel better once those inches start coming off!

I am glad to have found this forum.  I decided to take some boudoir photos in May and would like to drop the pounds prior.  My FI has been supportive, but sometimes it's good to have someone to talk to in a daily basis.  I have been working with a personal trainer which will end soon since my funds ran out.  I am going back to school so it is going to be tough sticking to the diet/workout regime.   But I am gonna stick with it so I can look great for the photos.

I only have 11 weeks until I leave for my wedding - eeeek!!  I've managed to lose 20lbs over the past year with just making some small changes to my diet and exercise routines, but I put 3 back on over Christmas cause I have no self control lol!  It's definitely motivated me to get back on track, and I've exercised and ate well since Jan 3 - and I weighed myself today and I've lost the 3 lbs I put on!  Yipee!  Now I just have to get the other 15-20 off in the next 11 weeks... might be tough, but this forum/thread definitely helps!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
