Tropical Imaging Review with pictures!!!(future_mrs2010/Tucks)

My husband and I were married at Beaches Turks and Caicos on January 23rd, 2010. Since beaches does not allow photographers or any outside vendors on property for that matter and since the prices I got for vendors to stay on property for a 3 day period and take our pictures were quoted for over $15,000! I decided to do some research... during this process, a very nice photographer in Utah recommended Tropical Imaging Photography to me. I quickly googled Tropical Imaging and they immediately became our wedding photographers!

Tropical Imaging- A++++++

Ileana (photographer)- A++++++++++++++++++++++++

Preston (videographer)- A+++++++++++++++++++++++

I emailed Tropical Imaging and within 2 hours I had a response. I communicated with Ileana daily through emails and she was ALWAYS quick to respond and very very kind! Tropical Imaging is a team of photographers and you can check out their work on Tropical Imaging wedding portrait commercial photography video in Turks & Caicos Caribbean

I chose Ileana to be our photographer! I absolutely loved her work and she was exactly what I was looking for. We customized our own package and they gave me a very reasonable price. Since Beaches does not allow photographers on site we made a plan with Tropical imaging to take us off property for all of our shoots (wedding day, boudoir, and TTD).

Whenever I would email tropical imaging Ileana would respond immediately. If she was out of the office someone else from Tropical Imaging would reply to let me know she would respond when she returned and if they could help with anything, they were always available. Tropical Imagingâ€s communication skills highly exceeded my expectations.

When we arrived in Turks, I spoke to Ileana on the phone and decided we would try and get her on property as a guest for a half hour for my boudoir pictures. I went to the front desk said I was expecting a guest and they asked for her name, my room number and how long she would be on property. They let her on and she was able to snap some pictures in our room for part of my boudoir shoot then she took me off property to a very private and gorgeous beach to take some sports illustrated type shots.

I was very nervous about the boudoir shoot, I mean you are in lingerie; posing in front of a stranger… but never once did I feel uncomfortable. Ileana made the whole thing easy going and simple. It was never awkward. I had purchased some simple outfits and she turned them into amazing. I had purchased some pearls and she always carries some extras to add more to the shots. She was amazing... standing on chairs, lying on the floor, anything to get the perfect shot... and she did!

Wedding day Ileana and Preston (videographer) arrived at Beaches at noon to pick me and DH up to take us off property. Our ceremony was at 4pm and Ileana and Preston got us back to the resort by 315pm, plenty of time to freshen up.

We went to the Villa Renaissance Resort for pictures… GORGEOUS! DH was feeling under the weather and they were very respectful of this. DH isn’t a huge fan of pictures but he really enjoyed himself, they made it truly enjoyable and they totally understood he didn’t feel well. We took pictures for about an hour and then Preston returned to Beaches to pick up our bridal party and my parents. He brought them back to where we were to take pictures with everyone. They also had some snacks with them and some beer and bottled water. Thank god for the cookies they had on hand, I hadn’t eaten anything all day long! You never really know what the camera or photographer is capturing but it’s such a great feeling when you see the final product! The pictures and the day were truly amazing!!!!!!

Our Trash the Dress shoot was the day after our wedding, but we wanted to get some sunset pictures so Ileana and Preston picked us up at 330pm from Beaches and decided to take us to some hot spots around the Providenciales (Provo) Island, which was really awesome! We went “downtown” where there were a ton of palm trees, an old pier, brightly colored buildings and obviously the beach. We took some really fun pictures. Then they took us to the other side of the island where the water was way calm and very peaceful and serene. Boats and the sun setting as the back drop. We took some pictures in some rock formations in the water. I wanted to get wet and she made sure we did… she was always checking with us to make sure we were comfortable and if there was any other shots we may want. We were soo pleased we never had to recommend anything!

After our TTD we were in no rush, and we needed to pick out our albums, so Ileana and Preston took us to the TI studio... it’s brand new and really gorgeous!! They have tons of albums and covers to choose from. All of their computers, cameras, systems, and software are top of the line. They truly are AMAZING!!!

Tropical Imaging services the Turks and Caicos Islands and anywhere else you would like them to travel!

Ileana is very clear with her directions. She knows the best ways for you to move your body, and always makes you look flattering. She is extremely knowledgeable with photography and her pictures prove it! Words can not describe our gratitude and love for Ileana. She is out of this world not just as a photographer but as a person also!

Preston was really awesome and down to earth! DH and Preston talked football and sports the whole time! We really bonded with the both of them and it was a huge bummer to leave them in the end. We really fell in love with the both of them and we had such a great experience and all of the shoots were such a blast and moments we will remember forever.

THANK YOU TROPICAL IMAGING, ILEANA, AND PRESTON for making our day, a day we will remember forever!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
