Ladies please help, i hate my dress:(

Recommended Posts

Ladies, I need some input on what to do... I had bought a dress from Kleinfeld's on their sample sale day, my future mother-in-law (who retired as owner of a bridal salon & who will be doing my alterations) was supposed to be there to help me find "the dress" but dropped out last minute, so it was just me and my mom. Well things started off ok but then I began to feel really rushed and ended up buying a dress that is just HORRIBLEsad.gif everytime I look at it I cry and to make matters worse my future mother-in-law says we can't do some alterations that we were needing to do! So I am stuck with a $1400.00 dress that makes me cry!! Why did I do this... Does anyone have any suggestion my wedding is in JUNE........

Been there, done that sad.gif I did cry. Many, many times. And then I bought a second dress.

It was terrible, but it had to be done. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror with that dress on, much less look at my wedding pictures for years. I just couldn't.

So, I tried to sell the dress I bought and bought a new one.

Good luck!

Been there done that! Lol I still havent been able to sell the first dress i bought but trust me it was so worth it to get the dress of my dreams! Do what makes you happy, usually Kleinfeld's dresses sell fast so id definitely use all the vehicles available to make that sale possible and get you a gown you LOVE!

i agree with the ladies hon. this is one of those situations where you might have to cut another part of the budget to get the dress you really want. the dress will be in pics and videos FOREVER and it will be a HUGE part of the memories you have of your wedding. the dress you hate, might be the one someone really loves!! so get out there and shop shop shop, remember you'll need time for alterations and stuff!! good luck :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
