Right now we are planning on going to a whole other resort for a week, bc I figure we are already there so why not and its cheaper bc you have already paid for your flights.......but Im not sure where yet. I have been flip flopping back and forth on a resort for the past two weeks.

Riley is leaving the resort decisions to me bc he has never been to an AI or even out of Canada or the US for that matter. I just have to decide what I want and what he will want and go from there.

Have you started any DIY's?

I hope everyones planning goes well!

Hi Norma, I'm planning my wedding for June 2012 in Cancun. We've chosen the Gran Caribe Real, what hotel are you getting married in?

I am still trying to decide on a resort, I can use any good tips on a family friendly resort if anyone has some. I love this site, so much great info!

We are having our wedding in June 2012 too, we have chosen to have it have the Gran Caribe Real Resort, it is a great family friendly resort with loads of activities for the kids. I have friends that have been before and have loved it and the reviews on trip advisor and this site rave about it. We are considering upgrading after the ceremony to their sister hotel, The Royal (adults only) which is next door, so that we can have a bit of privacy on our honeymoon but can still go and visit our remaining guests at the Gran Caribe next door.

Have a look at their website Real Resorts Mexico|Real Resorts Cancun| Real Resorts Playa del Carmen|Luxury Hotels in Mexico

Hi

I am a March 2012 bride to be from the UK also thinking of Gran Caribe Real Resort the reviews on trip advisor all seem great and the info on the website is really good to and the chapel looks amazing, although we are probably going to opt for a beach ceremony.

2012 seems so far away though!

Hi Char79uk - I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner! We have actually decided on the Gran Caribe Real also. I fell in love with the catholic chapel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
