Ironically ive stayed at the Riu Caribe 3 times - but this time we're heading to the Mayan instead. I'm not crazy about the crazyness of Cancun for my wedding

THanks!  I agree Brenners...Cancun is great - but its like Vegas in the tropics - minus the slot machines..lol
I like the feel of the Mayan better for a wedding
I want to be different too - than all these cookie-cutter weddings the resort is putting through on a daily  basis...hopefully i'll find the unique-ness I'm looking for!

Brides,

It is safe to say that we all have varying wants and needs for each of our special day.  What may seem "cookie-cutter" to some, may mean that these resort know what they are doing and therefore brides choose to go that route.  Nonetheless, each resort as each bride have their wants and needs.  May we each find what will work for us.

Happy Planning

Thats sooo great that they ended up being cheaper than Dreams. I wish that was the case for me - but coming from Canada - its a bit more expensive. Its such a quaint little resort ! I hope that's the one you end up with!

That's awesome. I'm glad things settled so that you can resume searching.

I have to admit that it was hard to leave.  And with work being so crazy, I just cannot stop dreaming about it!  lol.  Coconoir, have you made a final choice for a resort?  Have you completed all of your site visits?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
