Sorry it took me so long to get back to you - my professors have been killing me!  I used one of Vista Print's templates and added a little on it.

Hi Sunshine!  We were considering Dreams Riviera Cancun but it is very much so an assembly line with no really private area for a wedding.  Barcelo Maya does have several weddings each day, however, they do have areas that are private for ceremonies so you don't know that other weddings are happening at the same time.  We are deciding between Barcelo Maya and Ceiba del Mar.  Good luck planning!

Ooooo Ceiba del Mar is sooo pretty! But unfortunately a bit too expensive for us. I dont want my guests paying anymore than about $1700 pp CAD.
Barcelo Maya is nice too - I really liked the Palace - but didnt like the idea of all my guests being spread out between 5 different resorts if they didnt want to pay for the palace.
I'm looking into Xcaret now - cuz i think thats one place that wont feel so assembly-line ish - even though it would be a bit more expensive for us

Have fun with your planning also!

Hello all! I will be getting married May 13, 2012 at Hacienda Tres Rios. I am sooo glad to see that I'm not crazy for planning to send out our STDs at the end of this April!! Are any of you also sending out STDs for your AHR? Our AHR will be May 26, 2012 and because we are only inviting immediate family to our DW I am thinking of sending STDs for the AHR around the same time as those for the DW because I don't want some people to think they are totally left out when others are receiving the DW STDs...if that makes sense.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
