Any 2012 Bride/Grooms to be out there??

Orange is so not my color! I'm super pale and that is just not pretty

 

FI and I decided on Jonathan...I loved everyone's work...but Rachel would have been too expensive and then I gave FI the final decision between Melissa and Jonathan (have to let him think he's helping out).  I loved oth of their work...so..I wasn't up for making the call. 

 

How much were you quoted for your TTD?  The cheapest Del Sol package is $1800 for 2 hours...pricy and not underwater shots...but I'm ok without going underwater...

 

If the TTD doesn't work out budget-wise...FI and I were thinking we might wait till we got back home (Michigan) and hire someone local to do shots in some cool Detroit/MI spots....that way we get some "home"

 

But...again....it's all about the money....

That's so hilarouis.  I was thinking La Luna and Del Sol for the TTD but ouch I would have to pull a heist with you ;-)  But it's in FI hands. What photog at La Luna are you going with?

 Hi. I'm new to this thread. Not only am I a 2012 bride (change from 2011 arrrrg!) but I've also switched venues from Jamaica to Mexico. I'm happy about that change, however. The other I have mixed feelings. I'm happy that we're going to have a longer honeymoon, and it makes sense to move it till may, but I'm annoyed cause I am impatient !!!

 

Okay so that's it. Oh, and Azul will probably be my venue...unless their prices change. Because they SAY that I can book my wedding now (lucky me) but at the same time they won't guarantee the same 20percent deal (which doesn't make me happy unless they have a better deal). I'd think they'd honor the time that you book, as they will honor other stuff but oh well...so I'm waiting to hear back from my wedding coordinator about that.

I'm also new to the BDW site and I plan on a 2012 wedding. I'm trying to narrow my destinations Mexico or Turks & Caicos.  So many decisions. I'm semi-stressed already!

JetsettinBride I would start with the cost of both.  Turks & Caicos while so beautiful is expensive including the cost of travel. To narrow my location down I took into consideration:  The age of those traveling including known illnesses & family friendly for those with smaller children (didn't want to have the "annoying kids on the plan feeling for my guest", time that it would take to get there, time from the airport to resort, of course the cost (my FI family is LARGE).

Jana297, we've just decided this week that Dreams Cancun will be the perfect hotel for us to get married at in July 2012.  Now we've decided on the venue I feel like i can finally start planning.

spoke to a TA last week about getting early bird rates at Palace Resorts for 2012. She is checking the resorts as they are saying its a 13% rate increase :-(.
