Yes V-day bride I am glad that everything ended up going well. Glad to hear about the hair too =) I need to find out if our hotel's salon can handle this hair of mine as well. Unlike this picture of me and my fiancee when we got engaged on a cruise ( i had kinky twists b/c i didn't want to deal with it) i wear my hair relaxed and it is pretty long and thick so i just hope they can work with that! I might just have to go over to Los cabos to get it done if they can't do it in the Riveria Maya..lol

Vday, thanks so much for the fantastic review! I'm literally using all the same vendors, so it was quite a relief to get confirmation of yet another great experience with their services! As my wedding is approaching (June 4th) I'm starting to feel the pressure of getting all the details accomplished and it's nerve-wracking! I'm in grad school and my free time is seriously limited. Thank you for the boost of confidence! I'm so happy you had such a terrific day, despite the flight drama. Poo on Delta! They've been on my "never fly again" list for years, so I'm not surprised, sadly.

Congratulations, Mrs! :)

Jenn

How in the world did I forget to add my AMAZING officiant

Reverend Marco Arechiga
to this review?!?

Reverend Arechiga was FABULOUS!! He had the most special ceremonies for us to choose from. We chose a non denominational script and added a few special elements to it. He made people laugh and cry on a few instances. His voice was very soothing and he made my heart happy. If you have the option to choose your officiant, I would definitely request Reverend Arechiga!! He did substitute Chris with Christopher lol, but other than that it was perfect!!

I am getting married at the Dreams also and my WC didn't even mention about choosing our officiant. When I asked her about what I needed (legal ceremony) she just said "I'll take care of the judge and minister for you, don't worry about that." She sent me a very basic ceremony script but I added a ton to it based on help from other threads on the forum. I still would love to know how yours went if you'd be willing to share!!

Reverend Marco will contact you via email to introduce himself. When he does ask if you can see the scripts that he has for you to choose from for legal and symbolic ceremonies.

If it is a legal ceremony, if I am not mistaken..you have to have elements that can not be changed for it to be legal. That is probably why the WC said she will handle it, there is not much you can add/change. My ceremony was not legal as we got married in Vegas around his birthday (Christmas) so I was able to chose and add to the script.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
