going baby crazy and not even pregnant or close to being

I know what you mean about the stress. A friend of mine tried for over a year, no success. That failure to conceive was taking a toll on her. Also, she was having a lot of stress at work, and eventually had a burn-out. About a month or two into the sick leave (for the burn out), as she was not even trying anymore, she got pregnant.

Hat0112, I know what you mean. I don't want to get off the pill before the wedding, just in case. I'm not sure when I want to get off the pill though, as I don't want to get pregnant before our honeymoon to Disney (3 months later), but I'd like my cycle to be back to normal by then. If I get off the pill right after the wedding, then we are prepared to use extra protection for the next few months, and start trying while in Disney. cheesy.gif

What is scaring me a little right now is that I went to get a haircut last week and my hairdresser is CERTAIN I will be pregnant soon, even after I told her I'm still on the pill. Now I know she can't know for sure, but that, coupled with the fact that my body has been a bit weird, makes me scared that I could actually be pregnant NOW. That would be a freak thing, because the only days I didn't take the pill were the week I had my period, but you never know... smile41.gif

I am not sure if I should say congrats or not. You might just be worrying about being pregnant too much and it is freaking you out. I have done that a few times and thought I was pregnant but I wasnâ€t.

I think your plan on going off the pill after the wedding and using a back up method is a good idea. I heard that it can take from a month to a year for your body to adjust to being off the pill and it all depends on how long you have been on it. It will be about 12 years for me so that worries me. I am scared that I will be one that needs a year for my body to adjust and in that time the longer I am not pregnant the more I will stress about it.

Hey ladies, my DH and I are currently TTC and I actually spoke to my doctor about this exact thing.  I had concerns that being on the pill for 11 years would mean it would take longer for my body to regulate than someone who had been on the pill for only a year or two for example.  She calmed my fears my telling me that the research indicates that the amount of time you have been on the pill is not a factor.  She emphaized that it has more to do with the individual and how long it takes that person to get rid of the synthetic hormones from their body, as well as how regular they were before going on the pill.  If you were irregular before, you will be irregular after.  Regular before, regular after.  It just can take time for your body to begin ovulating normally after the pill.

Good luck to all the other TTC's, and happy baby dreams to those with it on the brain!

Seaprincess - That is good to know that my 12 yrs on the pill doesn't matter. Good luck TTC!

I actually had a baby dream last night and I never had baby fever more than I do now. It is so bad I was trying to convince myself that my stress and allergy symptoms were really pregnancy symptoms this morning.

I too had a baby dream last night! I dreamt that I was breastfeeding. Was kinda cool, though weird. Also dreamt that my fiance hated my wedding dress, not as cool. :-S (Probably dreamt about this because I just got a call yesterday that my dress has arrived and I can go for my first fitting. :)  )

On a related note, my friend is currently going through IVF. Really hope it works out for her!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
