T & C in 2011

We are planning our wedding in Turks and Caicos for the summer of 2011. Yeah I know it is really early, just trying to get some of the details figured out. We are planning something small with 20 people at the most. I am looking at staying at The Sands at Grace Bay. We are not wanting to do a traditional reception. Maybe dinner at Bay Bistro, then looking for something to do after. We would be getting married on a Wednesday and I have been looking for something to do after dinner. I have been trying to see if anybody has anything going on Wednesday nights. Like a live band somewhere, but I have not found anything. Does anyone have any ideas? Does not have to be anything too wild and crazy, just something fun to do after dinner.

Thanks, Wendy

It's really too far out to have any regular events set on this island...a few months out is the max for here really.

some ideas: Bay Bistro is owned by the same people who do Kissing Fish Catering and they have done either a pig roast or barbecue with a bonfire on the beach for some weddings (others have done that for rehearsals. ) Depending on what time of the day you get married (and what time of the year) you could jump on Atabeyra (sailing schooner) for a sunset cruise or Sail Provo (catamaran). Also you could get taxis (or a couple of vans) and head to Blue Hills and to the Conch Shack and Horse eyed Jacks for great local food and dancing on the beach (you could create your own party!)

As you get closer to the date you could find out what show is going on at Club Med and can get an evening pass for there, the Tropicana has a new dinner show as well (on our blog are some of the photos)

As you get closer to the date, let us know and we can tell you what is going on but that gives you some ideas as to options.

Hope that helps,

Krys

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
