Hi SuzieQ, Since you are the most recent GBP bride back, you are probably the best person to answer my questions if you don't mind :) How long does it take to travel from the Airport to the site? Do they serve any drinks during the ride? And did you have a welcome reception right when you arrived the resort?

Sorry if I'm asking too many questions sad.gif

Hi Bella,
Ask any questions you need answers to... I would be so happy to help you...
The airport ride can be just under 90 minutes if you go direct to the resort without other resort stops. My travel to the resort this time was direct so just under 90 minutes. Three years ago it took over two hours because we stopped for other resorts.

The travel to the resort and drinks... Ok I am assuming beerhuh.gif Not all buses have beer on them... Ours did, however Sunwing travels didn't get beer, my brother traveled with Sunwing... However you can ask the bus driver if they have beer, if not there is a beer stand right next to the bus pick up station at $3.00 a beer.

I did not have a reception the first night I arrived because I came in two days early. My group arrived on the Friday and I just reserved a large section in the lobby bar and we met for drinks before dinner and did the introdutions for those who didn't know each other and I gave out my OOT bags. Most everyone went to the buffet that night and we ended up back at the lobby bar for about a hour....Everyone was pretty tired...

PM if you have anymore questions
Sue

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
