Wow what a BIATCH!! I cant imagine anyone in the service industry being like that.. Im so sorry you had to go through that .. It seems to be that alot of bridal places suffer from this handicap..

OMG! That's really, really terrible! I can't believe ANYONE would say that to another human being, let alone a bride & potential customer! I'm so sorry Susie ... not to mention that vile woman who said that was very wrong! You look stunning in your photo & your dress is beautiful.

I'm getting sick of hearing these stories! I can't believe anyone in the industry would treat brides like this. WE are the REASON they are in business! It shouldn't matter what our budgets are, when the wedding is, how big the wedding is, or the bride's dress size; we should all be treated with the same level of respect. To each bride her wedding day is possibly the most special day of her life, and the whole wedding experience (including dress shopping) should be treated as such! I'm not saying we need to be treated like princesses, but common courtesy should be a given!!!

GRRRR I was angry enough that I have actually filed a customer service complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That way at least I know they will receive a formal complaint that may make them re-think the way they deal with customers.

Thank goodness for forums like these where we can share our experiences & offer support for one another!

Wow....that is incredible. Thank goodness it was not your first stop! Some people do not seem to realize that one upset customer can cause more damage to your reputation than 10 happy customers - especially in this day and age!

 

Susie - what a terrible thing to say to you! 14 is not huge by any means and to say something so hurtful and mean to anyone, let alone a bride. Inconsiderate.

Wow some people in "customer service" really don't know what they are doing or how bad word of mouth can be for a business! I'm sorry you ladies had some horrible experiences dress shopping.

My advice would be to send an email with a link to this thread and show them how damaging their stupidity and ignorance can be!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. How are they able to stay open if they treat people like this? You must have been really uncomfortable- and I feel bad for the girl who was trying to help you while this was going on, too.

 

SusieQ- I can't believe anyone would be so vile to you. Did that woman seriously think that the only people who get married are a size 2? Last time I checked women come in all shapes and sizes and there are wedding dresses that suit us all! You were a beautiful bride and your dress is gorgeous as well.
