Valentine's Day Plans

My FI's birthday is Feb 15, so valentine's weekend and his birthday is a big deal....well at least to me. humble.gif

Anyway, I have plans but he has to work at the last minute. We live about 3-hours apart...right now. crybaby2.gif

Sidebar: Plus it may snow <I am paranoid with the idea of getting caught in another snow storm>

Anyway, I have to rethink my plans!

  1. Any ideas, suggestions?
  2. What are you planning for the weekend?

My fiance is in BC working for another two weeks and I am in Ontario, so we don't get to do anything today sad.gif But I am going with some friends to see the movie Valentine's Day.

Island Bride, I am jealous that you live somewhere that it DOESN'T snow! We woke up to white this morning...

1. I don't know what your plans were, but are they something that can be rescheduled? Even if it's not on the actual holiday, it would still be nice to have a special night out some other time.

2. FI and I did this last night (he has to work tonight) :) He invited my sister and her FI to dinner with us (without my knowing, so it was a nice little surprise), and then we went to a comedy show as well. It was fun, but that is as romantic as FI gets rolleyes.gif

ps. Im SO jealous you live somewhere that it SNOWS!

Everything worked out...we did what you suggested. We met halfway and had a WONDERFUL weekend. Monday was a holiday for us so we also stayed over Sunday night.

It was a weekend long overdue. Because for the past 4 months we were so busy work, personal things and on and on....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
