Beach Setup for Dancing???

Recommended Posts

I'm having a hard time finding pictures of a beach setup for the dance portion of our wedding. We have the option of renting the disco at our resort, but I really like the idea dancing in the sand.

Has anyone done this? If so, could you post pictures of your setup? I'm trying to give our WC an idea of what we want to do.

Thanks so much!!

I'd like to see some set-up options too. I'd love a beach reception but am curious about what type of dance floor options there are b/c we will be shakin' our booty!rockon.gifdrum.gif

Can you set up a reception at the Gran Bahia anywhere other than the restaurants and the disco? I didn't know this was an option! Did you get prices?

Also, dancing in the sand would be VERY difficult (I have trouble walking!) so you'd need a dance floor on a level surface. What about by one of the pools?

Thanks ladies... I never really thought about how hard it would be to actually dance in the sand. A dance floor or by the pool would be good options.

Does anyone have pics of by the pool?? Or a dance floor?

I just emailed Jazmin at the Bahia for prices... but I wanted to send her a pic of what I mean (as we've had a few minimal problems with the language). I'll be sure to post on the Bahia thread when she gets back to me.

Dancing in the sand would be difficult, dancing in the sand while drinking, now that could be funny! Our resort has a beach Terrace that we have rented out for the dance portion of the evening, so we will get the beach atmosphere, but still be able to dance. Is there anything like that at your resort?

Alright, I do not have any pictures, but I am doing my dinner and dancing on the beach. They have never done this before at my resort, but are building a dance floor for me to put on the beach. Its so cheap that I could not say no. I can send you pics in November when we are back and I have my pictures, but I have nothing by ideas in my head for the set up right now.

They are setting a DJ up and everything on the beach. I can't wait.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
