Scared my son.....

My friend got married and her nephew was the ring boy. He is a well behaved kid, but like most 3 year olds, he got bored. When the JP was doing his thing, the little boy yelled out, "Papa! Come here!" as he stood beside the bride.

Papa got up, the boy grabbed his hand, and made him walk to smell the flowers that were off to the side of the guests. Papa missed 5 minutes of his daughters wedding lol but the photog got a great shot of the grandfather and grandson smelling the flowers.

The little boy walked back to his spot beside the bride. By this time, the bride & groom had exchanged roses. Again during one of the JP's speeches, the little boy asked the bride (his aunt) if he could have the flower. He smelled it and looked at it for awhile, then started swinging it around, and eventually the head bent over lol.

It's just pure innocence of a 3 year old little boy. He wasn't loud or talkative, but it sure made for some GREAT photo's and memories.

Good Luck and instead of feeling embarrassed, try feeling proud :)

I have five kids, so I know there's nothing like hoping YOUR child doesn't take away from the special moments of the bride and groom. It can be mortifying for the parent (been there!!!!) when your child is stealing the limelight from the bride! That being said, I've been way more worried about it than anyone in the room, and it does make for great pics later! Interestingly, I think I'll be less worried about their behavior during MY wedding that I was for anyone else's!

I think so many people get nervous about it being perfect. What you have to try and understand is its perfect because your loved ones are there sharing it with you. What makes a great day is those little things that people can look back and smile at. If he does something you can look back and laugh. He is 3! They don't understand what the big deal is, its just another day for them.

The last wedding I went to the brides nephew was 3. He climbed under all the isles and was running around. We all still look back and smile. It was adorable.

I have a 3 year old who will be the flower girl and a 14 month old who is the ring bearer. To be honest I have NO idea what it will be like. My daughter is shy at times and may not make it down. My son just started walking and is clumsy and will need help. I never once thought it would be bad. I'm pretty laid back but I think you just have to relax a bit.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
