Hi Jules23, I considered and visited both resorts so I may be able to help. I chose Iberostar so I might be a little biased :) But really it depends on what you're looking for. Grand Palladium is a huge resort with a really cool pool, but the beach is a bit small and rocky. GP will be a whole lot less expensive for your guests... Iberostar can be pretty expensive, especially during the high season. To me it was worth it though, the food at Iberostar was better in my opinion and I liked the beach there more. Let me know if you have any questions about either place... I'm not voting for either because I think they are both good choices, just depends on your style and what you're looking for. :)

Thanx for you advice!

I think we are about 95% for Iberostar! Our wedding is only going to be 30-40 people - so relatively small! And our main concern was the FOOD! I have heard only good things about Iberostar and their food. Plus, I know Palladium doesnt have a very nice beach area - more focused on the pool, therefore I would chose Iberostar over this factor as they apparently have a nicer beach areahuh.gif I think having a destination wedding (especially on the beach) it should look top notch! lol. Hopefully your wedding planning is going well. Your getting closer and closer! IM sure ill be asking you questions in the coming months!

Hi Guys,

I have booked my wedding date at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites for July 1, 2012. We are having the ceremony and our guest stay at the suites and my Fiance and I will be staying at the Iberostar Grand. We felt the Grand was too expensive to ask guest to pay to stay there the suites was a little more affordable. Still expensive but I am a firm believer you pay for what you get and good FOOD is very important.

One of my biggest questions is " Does anyone know anything about their DJ". The DJ is one of the most important part of the reception. We have combined a mixed crowd of 80 guest ages 30-65 and we need great music!!

Did anyone use their DJ? How was it?

Flying our personal DJ in to play for a couple of hours seems a lot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
